Feudle Game Introduction

Feudle is a game that involves autocompletion, where players guess what people have searched for on Google. There are many of these searches every day, making Feudle unpredictable in terms of guessing what comes next. The first word of the user's search phrase will appear, and you have to guess what the autocomplete suggestion will be based on that first word (for example, "Why do Cats..." or "How does the Moon...").

Players are allowed six guesses before they have to start a new game, and the color-coded tiles will show how closely the player's guess was to being correct, depending on which color the tile shows:

  • The green tile means your guess was correct in both the letter and position.
  • The yellow tile (only available if you chose to have it) means that your guess had the correct letter but was not in the correct position.
  • The gray tile means that your guess was way off base from the actual answer.

It is easy to play and humorous, so you will find yourself laughing at the outlandish and random answers provided by Google Search.

Game Play - The Process of Playing Feudle

Feudle's gameplay has a clean and easy-to-understand design that will get you addicted quickly.

The Search Prompt

Each round starts with a partial search query like "Why is the sky…", "Can dogs eat…", or "Is it bad to…". Your goal is to guess the most searched question which Google would give you the best autocomplete suggestion.

Your First Guess

Type in your first guess for what the rest of the phrase should be. You are allowed to enter full words or phrases, or any answer that makes logical sense, to complete the original question.

The Tiles

Once you put in your guess, you will immediately see the response on the board:

  • Green = right letter and in the right place (the letter you guessed is the letter that comes next)
  • Gray = not part of the autocomplete result at all
  • Yellow: the correct letter in the incorrect location

These colour codes will help you narrow down your options for your next guess.

Logic, Trends, and Internet Psychology

To win, you must think like the Internet. What do people commonly search? What trending topics might affect autocomplete suggestions? What would be the funniest or weirdest things people might search for? Feudle mixes logic and cultural factors into every round, making it feel different every time.

Understand the Answer within 6 Guesses

You will have up to 6 guesses to find out what the top autocomplete answer would be. If you guess correctly, you will see all of the tiles change to green at once! If, after 6 guesses, you are incorrect, you will get to see what the actual autocomplete was. This often yields unexpected and sometimes comical results.
