What is WorldGuessr?

WorldGuessr (also known as World Guesser) is an online, interactive game where players are dropped at random locations using Google Street View or high definition imagery of landmarks. You explore and collect clues to see if you can guess where in the world you are. The better your guess in proximity to the actual location, the higher your score!

Every game is an adventure, whether you’re exploring a city, a village, a desert, or a mountain trail.

How to Play WorldGuessr

• Start a Round: You get dropped at a random location anywhere in the world via Street View or via landmark photo.
• Explore: Explore your local surroundings using zoom, pan, or move around views like Google Maps! Think about language on signs, the architecture of buildings, types of vegetation, cars, etc.
• Clue Analysis: Are you in Asia or Europe? Coastal or inland? Use geography and intuition.
• Pin Your Guess: Click anywhere on the world map to place your marker.
• Points are awarded based on how close your guess is to the right location.
• You can play casually or competively through multiplayer lobbies, global leaderboards, and single player or with friends mode.
