How to Play 2048
The goal of the grid-based number puzzle game called 2048 is to merge numbered tiles, onward up to the magic tile, 2048.
The game-play mechanics
- Using the arrow keys (or swiping if playing on a mobile device), you will be able to take every tile in the grid and move in one of four directions, up, down, left, or right.
- When tiles of the same value touch each other, they will be merged together and create a single tile with double the value (i.e., 2 + 2 = 4; 4 + 4 = 8).
- After every move, there will be a new random tile (2 or 4) added to the board.
- To create the magic 2048 tile, you need to strategically merge tiles without filling the board.

To win the game, you must create a tile equal to 2048. Of course, you can create tiles bigger than that, too! So the game can just go on and on!!
When has the game ended?
If there are no more available movements, it is full, and there are no tiles to combine - that is when it is over.
