What is Dordle?

How to Play Dordle

Each grid will give you clues for its hidden word:

• Green: Letter is correct and in the right spot.
• Yellow: Letter is in the word, but in the wrong spot.
• Gray: The Letter is not in the word.

Remember that your guess may be closer to one word than the other, which is where the strategy comes into play. You need to be thinking about two puzzles at once!

Guess Wisely

You have only 7 guesses, so everything you type must help you solve both puzzles. Using balance, ultimately, you want to choose words that reveal letters for both boards.

Dordle Beginning Tips

• Choose a balanced first word (i.e., SLATE, CRANE) that has common vowels and consonants.
• Pay attention to feedback from each grid—don’t pay too much attention to just one word.
• Use your early guesses to eliminate letters or confirm letters for both sides.
• When you have one word nearly solved, and the other is a mystery, try guesses that use the "split strategy".
