What is GeoGuessr Unlimited?

GeoGuessr Unlimited is a version of the original game, but upgraded. The game simply drops you in a random place using Google Street View, and your job is simple--yet quite difficult, at least for many--figure out where in the world you are.

Instead of a cap on the number of games and guesses you can make in a day, like the free version, GeoGuessr Unlimited allows you to play as many rounds as you want. How to Play GeoGuessr Unlimited

Start a New Game

Once you click on the game, you are dropped in a random place anywhere in the world using Google Street View. This can be the middle of a dirt road in a rural area in Argentina, or the middle of a street in Tokyo, or the middle of a scenic road in Norway.

Look Around

Use your mouse or arrow keys to pan, zoom, and explore. There is a wealth of information to gather clues from--road signs, landscape, license plate, languages, vegetation, and architecture all provide important clues to help you locate your position.

Enter Your Answer

When you think you know where you are, just click on the world map, and drag your marker to the area. The closer you are to the real location, the more points you will receive for that round.

GeoGuessr Unlimited, unlike the plain version of GeoGuessr, does not have a limit on rounds. You could explore the world for hours by going from location to location, and you could continue indefinitely.

Useful Strategies for Succeeding at GeoGuessr

• Examine Camionette Signage: Every continent has its own, and even countries have their own unique type of signage.
• Analyze the Colors and Shapes of License Plates: While license plates are usually blurred, the color and shape can be very valuable clues, as long as you can still see them!
• Look to the Sun: If it’s sunny and the sun is to the north, you are probably in the southern hemisphere. This is true the other way around, and will also help you identify cities.
• Observe the Language: Just by the alphabet or diacritical markings, or even how long the text is, you can identify the region in your location.
