What is Phrazle?

Phrazle is a puzzle game that has players work to discover a secret phrase that is composed of multiple words. Your guesses in Phrazle need to be a valid phrase, and also need to match the words and spaces exactly for the secret phrase. You will also get useful color-coded clues after each guess, but you have 6 tries, so be sure to use each guess wisely!

How to Play Phrazle: Step-By-Step Instructions

Guess a Phrase

Your guesses need to be a phrase that fills all the spaces, which means valid words only. It is important to use due delay and consideration when guessing, since you need to match the exact phrase structure to get suitable feedback.

Decoding the Color-Coded Clues

After you make your guess, the Phrazle game will color the letters in four different colors. Each color gives a different hint:

• Green - The letter is the right letter in the right spot in the first word.
• Yellow - The letter is in the first word in another spot.
• Purple - The letter is in the phrase, but not in the second word
• Gray - There are no letters.

For example:

• If you see a green "U", then you have the letter "U" in the right spot in the first word.
• If you see a yellow "T", then you have the letter "T" in the word, but in the wrong spot.
• When you find a purple "O," it indicates there's no "O" in the second word, but there is an "O" in one of the other words in the phrase.
• If you see a gray "O", then there is no letter in the entire phrase.

Use the Clues to Help Narrow Down Guesses

Using the clues from each guess will help narrow down your possibilities even further. Also, pay attention to: length of words, positions of letters, and overall meaning of the phrase to get one step closer!
